We are an independently and veteran owned coffee shop and restaurant located on Route 25 in Newtown, Connecticut. We are open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch or an early dinner.
Why We’re the Hit Spot for Serious Foodies
We are not a coffee-chain kind of shop where the coffee is stale and the food is either pre-packaged or frozen and then microwaved. That is not our thing.
At Café Xpresso, absolutely everything on our menu tastes the way fresh should taste.
If we won’t drink it, or eat it, we don’t serve it. It’s really that simple.
What we do serve up is a variety of fresh-roasted, slow-brewed coffees, premium whole-leaf teas, homemade baked goods, made-to-order sandwiches, and fresh salads, soups, and sinfully delicious desserts.
Hours: Monday thru Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm
Saturday 8:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday 8:00am to 4:00pm
We are Chef Bob and his wife, Marie. Café Xpresso is our dream coffee shop and restaurant that, we are proud to say, shows off our lifetime ‘foodie’ passion for seriously good coffee and eats. Come on in. We love to talk to guests – especially about good food!
So whether you’re after an awesome cup of brewed coffee, an Italian-style cappuccino or something whipped in the blender, Café Xpresso is the ultimate for your coffee fix.
We are located at 150 South Main Street (Route 25) in Newtown, Connecticut and we’re open seven days a week.
Since Café Xpresso opened in 2015, we have been driven by our belief that Quality Counts. From the items we offer, to the ingredients we use in cooking & baking, to the caliber of our staff, our commitment to this driving value remains stronger than ever.
We continue to seek new products and methods that allow us to maintain the highest quality, freshest and most appealing menu offerings in Newtown, CT. We continue to promote our belief in Clean Food; that is, food that is minimally processed, free of additives and preservatives, sustainable and as local as possible.
Our recipes have been developed and collected from friends, family, culinary professionals we look up to and those we have worked with over the years. This is the food your Mom and Grandmother would have served to family and friends.
Did you know that we:

We continue to source items which are trans-fat free, high fructose corn syrup free and preservative free. We continue to seek new products and work with manufacturers to replace these compounds in their products. We want you to know that we do this for one reason, we care about what you eat, and we want to be the place for your healthy and satisfying dining pleasure.
