Email Marketing: A newsletter/email is sent to a targeted list weekly. Our current email distribution has an open rate between 25% – 37%. Send us your event/promotion flyer by noon Friday to be included in the weekly email. Beyond this, we offer email ads at affordable rates. This simple tool can help you reach businesses and consumers on a consistent basis.

Social Media Reach and Campaigns: Expand your social reach through the Chambers’s Facebook and Instagram platforms. Send sized images and links to share. Tag the Chamber in your posts so we can like, comment or share. Add the Chamber as a co-host to have your event featured on the Chamber’s Facebook event tab. Pay to boost an image or event via our social media. In addition, we are building an Alignable and Meet-Up following.

Personal introductions: In our new member on-boarding process we seek to help you get off to a good start with personal introductions to key resources and organizations. We can help you access other professionals and entrepreneurs to build alliances, partnerships and create local events to support your business development plans.

Referrals: Membership shows a commitment to your business and customers. The Chamber welcomes new members and refers member business to others in the community. We help you get to know who you need to know to help your business grow and thrive. The best business comes from personal referrals and introductions from people you know. The Chamber is a ready-made group of people with a common desire to grow their business and support their community.

LinkedIn: Follow us on LinkedIn and share information and events with businesses, potential employees and consumers.

Mobile Responsive Website: Business Directory listing with the information provided by the member with up to 3 categories and 10 directory tag listings. Directory listing links to your website. Submit your events to be featured on the website Calendar.
Sponsor Monthly Networking Events: Newtown Business Network meets one morning and evening per month. The group rotates through Chamber member businesses. The format can be specific to your business. Mornings meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Evening meetings are scheduled for the 1st Thursday of the month.

Host an “Open House” to Showcase Your Business. The Chamber will promote the event. You plan it and we promote it.

The Power Network: Participate in a leads group sponsored by the Monroe and Newtown Chambers of Commerce. It is a networking group of professionals representing different industries who know the value of relationships and qualified referrals as the best way to build their business. Meetings are held monthly on the 1st Thursday of each month from 8:00 – 9:15 am at the Re/Max Office at 458 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT 06468.

Sponsor Networking & Educational Events: Be top of mind for businesses and consumers by sponsoring local events such as Martini Madness, Newtown Day, Annual Golf Outing, or more focused activities such as Business Education Seminars, and networking events at member businesses during morning or evening hours.

“Booth-sit” at community events while promoting the Chamber and your business to the community. Events may include Newtown Day, The Lion’s Club Duck Race and the Newtown Arts Festival.

Business workshops to grow and train your team: Members are encouraged to share their expertise and be speakers at Chamber events to educate and promote their business. The Chamber partners with SCORE, the Newtown Economic Development Commission and the Cyrenius H. Booth Library to provide monthly business education events. Members can join others in the entrepreneurial, home office, and small business community for an informative hour to develop your business acumen. The Chamber shares information about opportunities across the region with members and Chamber discounts may apply.

Member-only discounts: Chamber members receive discounts for participation in all of our major events and activities, as well as for additional services such as advertising and promotional efforts. In addition, Members can offer other Chamber members member-only opportunities and discounts to enhance their reach.

Leadership Opportunities: The Chamber is a member-led organization. Use your talents to grow the Chamber, meet business owners and develop your team. Various events and activity Committees provide leadership roles in the Chamber and the business community and provide an opportunity to become better known among other key community members. Our membership is full of talented, educated and seasoned professionals who share their experience and provide mentoring opportunities.

Certificates of Origin: The Chamber will provide “Certificates of Origin” to members who ship overseas and require the Chamber of Commerce certification.
